Hello there beautiful! I’m Melanie Tsuchiya, founder and writer of Be Simply It.
Me in a nutshell: I’m an absolute self love advocate, proud kitty momma, and obsessed with french fries.
In recent years, I’ve learned so much about myself and the power of self awareness. As a typical ENFJ, I used to spend all my time and energy taking care of other people. As a result, I deeply neglected myself and my own needs.
Fortunately, I learned to start prioritizing myself. I learned that I could take care of myself and love myself while still giving to others. Even more importantly, I learned that in order to give my best self to others, I have to love myself first!
I feel utterly blessed to have learned and embodied this at such a young age. But sadly, so many women I know continue to sacrifice themselves for others. So much that they destroy their self-esteem, their confidence, and any validation for their needs.
Does this sound familiar? If you struggle with these same issues, I’m here to say that self love isn’t selfish. We all deserve to be taken care of, loved, and given a sense of belonging and purpose. We all deserve to be simply it. You are enough. You don’t need to be anything more than simply you.
Establishing a grounding of self-love within yourself will allow you to put your best self forward. You and all of your loved ones will benefit from a confident and empowered you! Want to know why I started Be Simply It? Be sure to check that out here!
I look forward to forming a wholesome and nurturing community through this blog. Let’s help each other make better versions of ourselves. Let’s encourage and empower each other to take care of ourselves and others.
I’d love to connect! Usually, you can find me poking around on Instagram. Because I have too many words to begin to understand Twitter 😉 You also email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org for any feedback, opportunities, collaborations, or just to tell me how your day was!
PS: This is my derpus kitty Roger. He’s got a sister Maggie (pics to come).
