Since I made some delicious pumpkin spice syrup last week, I thought I would use it in another pumpkin popular combination this week. I tried a pumpkin chai with full pumps of pumpkin spice and chai syrup (from a mistake order) at Starbucks recently. Oh, it hurt so much! I could only take a sip because it was so horrifically sweet! Thankfully, my pumpkin spice syrup is nowhere near as sugary. I could actually lick the spoon after mixing without shuddering. 😉 On top of that, found this amazing chai. It’s only “slightly sweet.” So you get the full flavor and spice of chai, but without all the sugar!
If you don’t have an espresso maker, you can always heat the milk via stovetop. However, if you’re a latte addict, I also highly recommend investing in an electric milk frother. I bought this one for just $40 on Amazon and it’s AMAZING. You can steam milk hot or cold. It creates a delicate, velvety texture to the milk. Plus it works great with different types of milk (dairy and nondairy). Definitely worth it! If you use my Easy Online Side Hustles, you’ll make $40 in Amazon gift cards in no time!
For your pumpkin spice chai, combine part Pumpkin Spice Syrup and part Slightly Sweet Chai to your sweetness and flavor preference. Top with steamed milk and voila! You’re done! Such a simple drink and much more affordable when made at home! Did I top that with a bit of whip? I couldn’t resist!
