On Saturday, July 29th, my incredible boyfriend Jeramia treated me to the most romantic day of my life. At that point, we’d been together for 5 years. I graduated college in the spring, started my new career a few months before, and we were ready to start our lives together.
We started the day by grabbing breakfast. And I took no shame in treating myself to some delicious chocolate chip pancakes.
After breakfast, we returned to our apartment. Suddenly, I was pleasantly surprised by a knock on the door to find my long time friend Sarah there to visit! After a few minutes of catching up, Jeramia told me I had a video to watch.
Suddenly, my absolute favorite biz bosses were on the computer. The incredible Abagail and Emylee of Think Creative Collective had a special video just for me! In addition to a generous shower of compliments, they told me I had to go to the first place Jeramia kissed me.
The restaurant was decorated with all sorts of kiss paraphernalia. It was adorable and charmingly tacky. There was also a binder of all the letters I had written to Jeramia over the years.
After we finished up lunch, the manager of the restaurant presented me with an envelope. It told me that since I had a chance to look at the past, it was time to return to the present.
We arrived back at the apartment. In our leasing office, I found an entire set up for a painting class. The three of us got to show off our creative sides and paint a gorgeous romantic sunset.
At the end of the painting course, the instructor presented me with an envelope. The note said that it was time for drinks with Sarah. Jeramia sent me off with her. And she and I enjoyed some time together at a speak-easy style bar.
After some time at the bar, the waiter presented me with another envelope. The note inside said one of the most romantic things that Jeramia’s ever said to me. It was time to take a look into the future.
We drove to a park. And our driver walked us part way through. Once we reached a certain point, he said that our instructions were to keep walking west.
As we approached the set up, this adorable man was nervously hiding behind a tree. He had an entire speech planned out. But once I arrived, he lost all his words.
Fortunately, there were only a few that mattered. And when he asked me to spend our lives together, I gladly said “of course.”
A few bonus photos from the evening…
